Conex Hub supplies new and used shipping containers for purchase, rental, leasing, delivery, and customization. Because shipping containers are oversized freight items and may be selected, reserved, prepared, transported, or modified specifically for each customer, different return conditions may apply to purchases, rentals, leases, and customized units.
Please review this policy before confirming an order. The terms contained in an accepted quotation, purchase agreement, rental agreement, lease agreement, delivery agreement, or project-specific contract will also apply. Where a signed agreement contains terms that differ from this general Return Policy, the signed agreement will control.
1. CONTAINER SALES
All shipping container sales are considered final once the container has been dispatched from the depot or delivery location, except where the container delivered:
- Is materially different from the confirmed order
- Was incorrectly supplied by Conex Hub
- Sustained eligible damage before or during delivery
- Was materially misrepresented in the written quotation or order description
Customers are responsible for reviewing and confirming the following before approving an order:
- Container size
- Container type
- Container condition or grade
- New or used status
- Features and modifications
- Delivery address
- Site access requirements
- Placement requirements
- Local permit or zoning requirements
- Pricing
- Delivery, crane, and handling charges
Returns are not accepted for customer remorse or a change of mind after dispatch or delivery.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Ordering the incorrect container size or type
- Changes in the customer's intended use
- Changes in the customer's project
- Site access or placement problems
- Permit, zoning, association, property-owner, or regulatory restrictions
- The customer's inability to prepare the delivery location
- The customer's inability to receive or place the container
- Cosmetic characteristics consistent with the advertised grade of a used container
- The customer relocating, modifying, painting, cutting, repairing, wiring, plumbing, or otherwise altering the container
Used shipping containers may contain ordinary cosmetic wear consistent with their grade and prior use.
Normal characteristics may include:
- Surface rust
- Dents
- Scratches
- Paint variation
- Shipping markings
- Patches
- Welds
- Previous repairs
- General signs of use
These characteristics will not be considered defects when they are consistent with the container condition or grade disclosed before purchase.
2. DAMAGED, INCORRECT, OR MATERIALLY MISDESCRIBED CONTAINERS
Customers should inspect the container as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
If a container arrives damaged, is not the type confirmed in the order, or is materially inconsistent with its written description, the customer must contact Conex Hub within 48 hours of delivery.
The request should include:
- Customer name
- Order or quotation number
- Delivery address
- Delivery date
- Description of the reported issue
- Clear photographs of the complete container
- Close-up photographs of the reported damage or discrepancy
- Video evidence where relevant
The customer must not modify, move, repair, paint, load, resell, or place the container into service while the claim is being reviewed unless Conex Hub provides written authorization.
After reviewing an eligible claim, Conex Hub may, depending on the circumstances:
- Request additional photographs or information
- Arrange an inspection
- Repair the container
- Replace the container with a comparable unit
- Correct the order
- Arrange collection
- Offer an appropriate price adjustment
- Issue an approved full or partial refund
Where Conex Hub confirms that an incorrect container was supplied or that eligible damage occurred before or during delivery, the customer will not be charged for the approved corrective pickup, repair, or replacement.
Claims submitted after the reporting period may be reviewed at Conex Hub's discretion, but approval is not guaranteed.
3. ORDER CANCELLATIONS BEFORE DISPATCH
Customers should contact Conex Hub immediately if they need to cancel an order.
A cancellation may be considered when the container has not yet been:
- Dispatched

- Loaded for delivery
- Modified
- Painted
- Branded
- Inspected specifically for the customer
- Prepared specifically for the customer

- Follow the notice period stated in the applicable agreement
- Remove all personal property

- Ensure that the container is empty

Additional charges may apply for:
- Late returns
- Continued rental time
- Cleaning
- Waste disposal

6. RETURN AUTHORIZATION
No container, equipment, accessory, or other item may be returned to Conex Hub without prior written authorization.

- Site-access problems
- Placement problems
- Permit restrictions
- Zoning restrictions
- Customer scheduling issues
- Customer relocation
- Incorrect information provided by the customer
- Circumstances outside Conex Hub's control
The customer may remain responsible for applicable transportation, collection, crane, handling, storage, and related charges.

- Inspection
- Price differences
- Transportation charges
- Crane charges
- Placement charges
- Handling charges
- Storage charges

A replacement container may differ cosmetically from the original container where the replacement is a used unit of the same or comparable grade. No exchange should be arranged independently without written instructions from Conex Hub.
9. APPROVED REFUNDS
Although this page is titled "Return Policy," this section explains how funds are handled when Conex Hub approves a return, cancellation, claim, or adjustment.
Approved refunds will normally be issued to the original payment method within 7-10 business days after all applicable conditions have been completed.
Applicable conditions may include:
- The claim has been approved
- Required evidence has been received
- An inspection has been completed
- The container has been collected
- The returned item has been received
- The condition assessment has been completed
- The final refundable amount has been confirmed
Financial institutions and payment providers may require additional processing time before the refund appears in the customer's account.

- Customer preference
- Customer error
- Site conditions
- Access problems
- Permit or zoning problems
- Project cancellation
- Circumstances outside Conex Hub's control
Where the return results from an error confirmed to have been made by Conex Hub, eligible corrective delivery or collection charges will be handled by Conex Hub. Any deductions must be consistent with the applicable quotation, invoice, rental agreement, lease agreement, purchase agreement, or project contract.
